Cultivate Health Narratives was born from a simple but powerful truth: our stories carry healing when we are given space, structure, and meaning to tell them well.
Founded by Throy Campbell, PhD, author of Clearing the Clutter: Cancer’s Lesson on What Truly Matters, Cultivate Health Narratives exists to help individuals and communities make sense of illness, life disruption, and uncertainty through storytelling paired with intentional reflection. At the heart of this work is a framework called Spiritual Decluttering—a process that helps people release emotional, mental, and spiritual clutter so they can reconnect with purpose, faith, relationships, and hope.
This work began through listening—countless conversations with cancer survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals—where a recurring pattern emerged: when life feels fragile, clarity becomes possible. Storytelling creates the doorway. Decluttering creates the transformation.
At Cultivate Health Narratives, we believe storytelling is more than sharing experiences—it is an act of meaning‑making.
Through guided storytelling, participants are invited to reflect on their journeys and then engage the Clearing the Clutter framework, a process that helps individuals:
The Clearing the Clutter framework is both reflective and practical. It does not replace medical care, therapy, or support—it complements them by addressing the spiritual and narrative dimensions of healing that are often overlooked.
This work is for anyone navigating cancer, chronic illness, caregiving, life transitions, or profound uncertainty—and for those who simply sense it is time to pause, reflect, and realign.
Cultivate Health Narratives offers both group and one‑on‑one workshops, facilitated by Throy Campbell, PhD, and a trained support team. These experiences are designed to be safe, reflective, and deeply human.
Group sessions create space for shared storytelling, guided reflection, and communal learning. Participants benefit from hearing others’ narratives while gaining tools to declutter their own lives—emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.
Group workshops are ideal for:
Individual sessions offer a more personalized, intimate space for storytelling and spiritual decluttering. These sessions meet participants exactly where they are and are shaped around their personal experiences, questions, and goals.
One‑on‑one workshops are especially helpful for those processing:
Throy Campbell, PhD, is a research scientist, educator, and the author of Clearing the Clutter: Cancer’s Lesson on What Truly Matters. Through years of listening to cancer survivors’ stories—as well as his work in healthcare and research—Dr. Campbell developed the Spiritual Decluttering framework to help people make sense of life when certainty disappears.
His work stands at the intersection of storytelling, faith, reflection, and lived experience, inviting people not only to tell their stories—but to understand them differently.
Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, healthcare professional, faith leader, or someone quietly searching for clarity, your story matters. Cultivate Health Narratives exists to help you honor it, reflect on it, and discover what remains when the clutter is cleared.
